Can you spot the Nightjar?

Test your cryptic critter spotting abilities with this citizen science game, “Where’s that nightjar” created by researchers at the University of Cambridge and the University of Exeter. The game compares the effectiveness of the nightjar’s remarkable camouflage abilities in relation to two very different visual predators. If you play as a mongoose, your vision will be dichromatic. Play as a Vervet Monkey and you’ll get full-color vision. Who do you think is better at spotting nightjars? Monkeys or Mongeese?

Try it for yourself! Play the game here.

Can I spot the nightjar? Yes, yes, and yes.
