Javad Azimi. 2012 works.

Javad Azimi (b. 1977, Gorgan, Iran) studied at the Art University of Tehran and subsequently returned to his hometown in Northern Iran to live and work. Azimi grew up surrounded by nature, and the landscapes of his region, colourful and ever-changing, are a vital source of inspiration in his painting.
Besides the influence of natural environments, Azimi’s work reveals his profound absorption with his cultural heritage, from the crafts of Gorgan and Qajari painting to Seljuki art and architecture.
